in the ice cream industry. Peter
is at his 50's, working whole life in traditional Chinese bakery
production.
Section One
Mary: Peter, let's discuss a bit on my Ice Cream Moon Cake Promotion
Plan.
Peter: Forget about it. I don't think our customers will buy
ice cream from us. We are a bakery company. We sell cakes.
Mary: They also eat ice cream, aren't they? We need more
new products.
Peter: But not ice cream!
Our customers are with us for more than 20 years. They love our
traditional moon cakes. Why change? Remaining unchanged can make
our customer buying more from us.
Mary: But we need to
increase our sales for 30%. We need new products to achieve such
growth.
Decision 1
Mary wants to implement her
ice cream moon cake plan. She knows about ice cream. She had also launched ice
cream moon cake for her previous ice cream company. It was a super
success.
If you were Mary, what will you do next?
a. Peter may not be totally understand what I mean. I should
say: I feel that we do not understand each others.
b. Peter is very important to my Ice Cream Moon
Cake Promotion. I can't upset him too much. I should ask: How
will remaining unchanged make
our customers buying more from us?
c. I should make Peter comfortable with my idea. I should say:
I have many years of experience in ice cream. I have seen so
many customers buying ice cream moon cakes.
Please choose 1 from above.
